Our next major exhibition is coming up this June (2011) and, ARTISTS, you now have a chance to involve yourself in our next experience! Above is an image of Clifton Cultural Arts Center (Clifton, Cincinnati, OH). This is where the kinetic-themed show, "Movement", will be home-based. CCAC will also be accompanied by a few shipping-container-gallery-spaces spread throughout the city of Cincinnati, OH. Hopefully, this combination of venues already has your interest! So please apply or suggest a talented artist and/or art collective you know to do the same. As long as the work incorporates moving parts, your proposal will be accepted for consideration. To all the folks who missed The State of Matter glass exhibition, we'd first like to send our condolences. We had a great time planning & enjoying the multi-venue exhibition and week of demos/studio visits ...and look forward to continuing with our programming!

Today we met with the two artists who will be holding open studios in conjunction with The State of Matter glass exhibition tomorrow. And as always, Jim Hazel of HazelGlas and Margot Gotoff of Gotoff Studios were great fun …plus, both were excited to be opening their studios up to the public. So tomorrow, in our last day of programming, please stop by HazelGlas (4150 Hamilton Ave) and Gotoff Studios (1546 Knowlton Ave) from 12p - 3p to get a rare glimpse into two established artists' studios. Margot will be showing her unique techniques of transforming clay sculptures into glass, while Jim Hazel will be demonstrating his extremely specialized capabilities in glass blowing and lathe-working. All three of our other venues will be open from 10a - 4p as well …and following, will be our final flame-working demonstration by Michael Goodman at Prairie (4035 Hamilton Ave -- above Take the Cake). Below, is the poster for The State of Matter …our event that kicks off this weekend with LIVE glass blowing and a multiple venue exhibition. The alternative gallery space (which will compliment Prairie and Hoffner Lodge for The State of Matter exhibition) is 8.5 feet wide, 45 feet long and is equipped with built in lighting ...hanging from the containers 10 foot ceiling. Please enjoy our excitement! We hope to see you soon. -parProjects
